Sexuality is an odd mistress. Through most of our travels, I had to consider whether I was interested in men, and eventually I concluded that I had no time to both save the world and have a relationship, though both your love and Michelle's were apparent to me. Michelle is an incredible woman, and I care for her, but she has never supported me and completed me in the way you do.

I wasn't aware until the Lunar Rite that I had been with both man and woman before. Volsung had wife and child, but before that he traveled the world with one man. Lovers, kinsmen, allies - they were each other's support in all things. I believe that a part of me may have missed that in the end, but it is one of those selfish things that I did not wish to admit to myself. But now, with you, I feel that once more. You are not my wife, but you protect my child and myself just the same. You are strong and beautiful and many other great things.

The crux of being interested in both sexes, I suppose, is that both sexes are interesting. You have done nothing but please me in every way that you can, with every fiber of your being. I should require nothing more of you because I have so much, and yet the thought of you as a woman is a rather intriguing one. Do not worry, for I still love you as you are.

...Well, mostly as you usually are. I admit I love the man more than the pup.

[Edward is kind of shellshocked for a while, remaining silent. Sigmund's told him so much, all at once - former partners, past desires, love.

That he's beautiful, as embarrassing as it is to hear it said. He's still not sure what to say, what words could possibly follow such an incredibly detailed and heartwarming confession.

So finally he gives up and tilts his head to lick Sigmund's cheek, whining affectionately.]
