[If you happen to be out and about in the village today, you might find find a strange sight. There is a scattered trail of brightly coloured candies in the snow, in various locations throughout the village. Where a tree or a bush might have once been, there is now nothing but candy. In the smithy, what was once a sword is now candy. The broom that might have been useful in cleaning up such a mess is also gone. Certain spots in the grocery store are full of candy as well- as if someone had taken something off of a shelf and replaced it with a handful of sweets. The entire tomato and pepper sections have been completely cleared out, inside transformed into bins of candy.

And in the plaza, sitting on the edge of the fountain, is Edward, his face buried in his arms. It's hard to tell if he's annoyed or just downright depressed. And the fountain itself, instead of being filled with the normal flowing water or even seasonal ice?

Full. Of. Candy.]


[ooc: Edward has the superpower of the SKITTLES MAN. May children everywhere now love him. Just don't let him shake their hands...]

[This does not go unnoticed by Sokka who is, incidentally, not a girl anymore. Sokka notices Edward... and then the fountain full of skittles. What the hell? But the more he stares at those skittles, the more some of them are turning into tiny meaty chunks. Sokka quickly shakes his head and looks at Edward.]

You okay over here?

[Edward looks up at the voice, surprised to find it familiar.]

...You're not a woman.

Wow, your command over the obvious is impressive.

[Can we please not talk about it.]

Well what do you expect me to say!? You've been acting strangely all week!

[markofthewise]

"Hey Sokka! Nice to have you back."

[He's not upset though. More curious about other things.] What happened to the fountain?

[chaincutter]

[It will be somewhat into the evening when Sigmund goes looking for Ed. He suddenly had a six year old to take care of and all. It's time consuming work. Thankfully, Ed isn't a hard man to find today. He just follows the trail of candy... right to the... candy fountain? Oh. Well.]

Edward...

[vermified]

[GRUMBLE.] Well, it is nice to have you back. You're not allowed to ever be a woman again! [He glances back guiltily to the fountain at that, though.] ...I'm not sure what happened.

[vermified]

[At Sigmund's voice, Edward looks up, startled, and then hastily hides his hands behind his back. Accidentally touching someone is about the last thing he wants to do right now.]

My lord!

[chaincutter]

[Oh, Ed. Sigmund sits down on the edge of the fountain. Saying that he sat down next to Edward would be about as much of a stretch as Ed would need to make to touch him, as he is quite deliberately out of reach; but he sat nonetheless.]

Believe me, I don't want to be.

[However, he kneels by the fountain and scoops out some skittles.] It almost looks like candy.

I'm fairly sure it is candy. It tastes that way, at least.

[For once, Edward is pretty relieved by the distance. The comment puzzles him for a moment, but he takes a likely guess at it.]

For Capell, my lord?

[markofthewise]

[He pops one in his mouth. Hmm, doesn't taste bad, but...]

I just wonder how they got here...

[FIDGET.] I can't imagine.

[markofthebrave]

[Katara enters the supermarket, hoping, in fact, to pick up some fresh peppers for stir fry tonight. There are probably about two peppers left by the time she gets there - will she make it in time?]

What on earth?

He might have run off, if not for you.

I consider myself lucky he didn't run off because of me. He thought me to be the villain. [He pauses, and then-] I'm glad, though. That I could be of help to you both.

[Edward halts at the voice mid-reach, looking almost guilty. Look, those peppers were totally asking for it, okay?]

Katara. I... didn't know there was anyone in here.

[vermified]

[She can still find Edward there- still sulking, still surrounded by a literal pool of rainbow candy. Their house is doomed, isn't it.]

Edward, what happened? [Hurrying on over to rescue those peppers.]

[chaincutter]

Hm. [He goes silent for a bit and idly examines what used to be a working fountain, picking up a handful of candy and letting it fall back in.] He said you turned his door to candy.

[vermified]

[He backs off before she can threaten him with them or something 8|;;] Why are you asking me!? I don't even like peppers!

[vermified]

[ERK. Caught. Edward sinks down a bit, like a chided dog.] ...It seems this experiment has given me a very strange effect, my lord.

[Poking through the brightly colored candies to actually dig them out.] I'm asking you because--

--what happened to the tomatoes?

[She's just bewildered now.]
