To all new arrivals, or simply uninformed residents of the village- just as Winry stated earlier this week, we at the smithy are available for metalworking commissions. Currently we're lacking in projects, so if you have any desire for a weapon or some kind of crafted work, feel free to make a request. I specialize in advanced weaponry design and armor.

Additionally, I... request the advice of anyone who's had difficulty controlling the elements. Whether it is by way of this world's spirits, or your own world's magic- if you found it a challenge, and have since mastered the obstacles that stood in your way, how did you do it?

[Edward's going to be at the smithy for most of the day, working away on some sketches and developing new projects for the future- or present, if he gets no commissions. He's mostly designing new swords and armor.]

[Sigh. It figures. Well, let's start with what we know, shall we? He starts off the design, sketching out Capell's basic body shape.]

How did you feel in Lord Sigmund's armor? Once you adapted to using it in battle, that is. Was it comfortable, and easy to move in? Or did you feel too constrained?

Once I got used to it, I could move around comfortably well.

[Hmm, so as much armor as Sigmund wouldn't be unmanageable. Good to know. Let's try adding some armor to that Capell-sketch.]

The most important protecting you'd need is a chestpiece - front and back - much like Lord Sigmund wears. Especially here, with your wings being your greatest weakness. After that... you should wear gauntlets, to protect your hands. After that, would you prefer full plate armor or chainmail?

[He's actually looking to be in a good mood now- designing armor is the most fun part of the job.]

Um, plate armor. [He's used to that at least.] Unless you think chain mail would be better.

[Capeeeeell so uneducated in the art of armor!]

It's best to use whatever feels most comfortable, and it's your decision to make. If you're not sure, though, we have chain mail here that you could try.

[He's trying so hard.]

It wouldn't be too much weight with the chestpiece, you think? [Falling over from the weight of your gear is not a good way to intimidate your enemies.]

I find it's better to use one or the other, not both, unless it's spread out. Using too much armor can not only weigh you down and hamper your movement. I prefer chainmail, while Lord Sigmund uses plate. You have to try both and decide for yourself.

Alright then. I'll try the chainmail and see which is better for me.

[Edward nods, setting aside the sketch and standing up. He heads over to a section at the back of the shop, tugging a chainmail shirt off the shelf.]

Try this, it should fit.

[Capell removes his jacket before accepting the chainmail. It doesn't seem to weigh more than his old armor, but it's looser and moves with him. He doesn't feel quite as protected in it even though it covers more.]

It's not too bad, but I think I'm just too used to Sigmund's armor.

Plate metal, then. I'll see if I can work out a design. [He looks Capell's outfit up and down.] ...I'll make it red.

[Hey! He likes other colors. Like... like... derp.

He removes the chainmail to hand back.]

Heh, heh. I guess that would be one way to tell which one of us is which.

[Edward deposits the chainmail back on the shelf, returning to the desk to continue the design.]

I think only a fool would mistake the two of you now. It's not as if you have any reason to impersonate him here.

[It's just your Sigmundite ways, Ed. Other people can't always tell them apart instantly.]

It's not as much of a problem here in Luceti though. [He leans against the desk.]

It's better to avoid the problem before it even begins, anyway! That's the last thing we need.
