[Edward nods absently, resting his head against Sigmund's and closing his eyes, too tired to bother with anything else.]

Mm. I know...

[Sigmund lifts up for a moment to kiss him on the top of the head, then goes back to leaning against him again. As upset as he has been, the relief of having him back is wonderful.]

[Edward shivers a little, swallowing hard. He presses closer to Sigmund, wracking his brain for what he'd missed.]

And I you, my lord... but... what happened...?

[It takes Sigmund a moment to respond, and he squeezes Edward a little tighter as he does so.]

[He could remember the delight of the fire spirit, the smoke and the pain and the burning alive...

[Edward knows better than to try and be obnoxious about it, so he takes Sigmund's hand and lets the other man help him up. He's weak and wobbly, but he can stand.]

I admit, the offer is quite tempting.
