[The journal flicks on to the sound of sloshing water; there's a sudden splash, a loud curse, and after a moment of quiet, it's lifted to reveal a disgruntled man some might find familiar.]

[He'll find Sokka lounging around on the couch (yes, there's a couch now) in the smithy. He'll probably notice that the entire weapon shop has been rearranged in a different style than it used to be. But it's clean for the most part and fairly organized. New Feather weapons even have their own display rack.

But thanks to a handy bell installed on the door, Sokka will notice Edward's arrival immediately. He'll hop up immediately.] Edward, right?

[......WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS SHOP, SOB. Well, so long as the actual blacksmith shop still works alright, he's probably not going to gripe. That's where he spends most of his time, anyway.]

[Made it awesome, that's what! They're totally getting a soda fountain machine when the Malnosso start delivering luxuries.]

Well let's see. We keep those over there. [He points off to one corner.] But we put the newly arrived stuff over there. [And he points to a counter closer to the entrance.]

I see... thank you, I'll remember that in case I need to direct a newcomer myself. [And he heads over to check out the new swords. Thankfully his sword is kind of massive, so it takes him all of five seconds to find the place and notice it lying there. He hefts it up, giving it a thorough inspection. Hmm... looks alright.]

[Blink blink.] That's a big sword.

[He glances over. Well yes, it is, but...] ...It's a broadsword. [They only come in one size ~~wrong. Ed's is just excessive.~~]

Why such an interest in weapons, anyway? Are you a warrior in your world?

It's where I'm from, back home. The Southern Water Tribe.

What sort of weaponry do you have experience with?

Well, there's my sword and boomerang here. [He'll show those off one by one. A jet black jian sword and a blue boomerang sharpened to a knife's edge.] But then there's clubs, spears, my machete, and... well, a lot of the stuff in here, actually.

[....Actually that's pretty cool, having such variety.] I'm impressed. I only have training with a single blade.

[Say what you will about Sokka, he's a genius adept at picking up new weapons.]

Well I've never really used a sword like that. Where I'm from, you kind of have to be fast with your weapon to really have a chance.

[Wat. Crazy ninja.]

Well, I'm sure you can. It's just the people I fight? They're constantly shooting fire or boulders at you.

...Chains, for me. Chains and a dark power that's difficult to explain.

... chains? How exactly does that work? [The dark powers don't seem to grab his attention as much.]

I'm not sure of exactly how he controls them, but the Dreadknight can summon chains out of nothing and use them to attack, bind, deflect... he is one to be reckoned with.

Sounds like bad news. You wouldn't happen to know if he's in Luceti, would you?
